Getting to know Nikki
Nikki is a lifelong resident of Boone County. She has been married to her husband Jim for 18 years. They have 2 sons, Zackary-17 years old and Mathias-15 years old. Both attend Lebanon High School. Nikki and her family attend Traders Point Christian Church.
Nikki graduated from Lebanon High School and continued her studies at Ball State University where she completed two years of general studies. She received her
paralegal certificate from IUPUI. She continues her education by attending
county government specific classes offered through the Association of
Indiana Counties Institute for Excellence Program.

Nikki served as Boone County Deputy Treasurer from 1997-2004 where she worked closely with the County Auditor's office in the monthly reconciliations, receipting and investment of county funds, and posting and disbursement of county tax dollars to local entities.
She accepted the position of Deputy Recorder in 2005 and held that position until 2012.
In 2013, Nikki was sworn in as Boone County Recorder and has held that office since.
She has brought innovation to the Recorder's office by implementing electronic
recording of documents, converting all historical land records and microfilm to digital images which are accessible online. She also implemented the acceptance of credit card
payments, which aided in improving the efficiency of her office.

Nikki is a prior member Indiana Treasurer's Association. She is an Active member of the Indiana Recorder's Association. She is Involved in the Association of Indiana Counties and she was recently elected West Central District Vice President of the Association of Indiana Counties. Nikki is a former Board Member of the Boone County Historical Society.
Nikki was the 2013 Republican Woman of the Year.
In 2020, Nikki was one of recipients of the Zonta Rose Day Award.
